I feel like I was late to the party when it comes to International Women’s Day. Somehow I got left behind as the women (and men) in my life had not celebrated or even made me aware of this day.
A few years ago I attended an event and since then I have embraced the day and all that it stands for.
As a proud feminist, I quote Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie when she clarified this, at times clouded, title: ‘Feminist: the person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes’.
We have far to go when it comes to equality, but a big shift is how Organise.Curate.Design. has created a service to empower women with the support they need to contribute to society in various ways. To free their mental load and use their existence to be their best.
I also believe we are responsible to the next generation to educate and enable them to close the gap further.
I have potential space on my schedule to take on mentees for a 12 month period to mentor them as they navigate the complexities of the day to day. If you or someone you know would like to know more about the Organise.Curate.Design. mentoring program please contact us for more information.
Until then, enjoy this wonderful day and continue to strive for more in the space of equality.
